Sri Vijaya Puram, March 19: The Andaman & Nicobar Mahila Congress Committee, under the direction of Mahila Congress National President Smt. Alka Lamba, organized a massive protest on 19th March, 2025 demanding the immediate implementation of the 33% women's reservation in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies. The protest was led by State Mahila Congress President Smt. Zubaida Begum and witnessed the participation of several key leaders and party members.

Little Andaman, March 19: In a remarkable demonstration of unity and environmental stewardship, the Little Andaman Forest Division organized an extensive biodiversity awareness program today at Nallah Mundi Beach, Rabindra Nagar. The event brought together an enthusiastic cross-section of the community, including representatives and Pradhans from five panchayats viz. Netaji Nagar, VK Pur, RK Pur, Hut Bay, and Rabindra Nagar as well as Zilla Parishad members, Panchayat Samiti members, and the Pramukh. Their collective presence underscored the growing recognition of the critical role local governance bodies play in safeguarding biodiversity.

Car Nicobar, March 19: In a significant step towards improving public transportation, Shri    Amit    Kale    Maruthirao, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, today flagged off two buses at the STS Unit, Car Nicobar. The event was held in the presence of Shri Akash Kishen, Executive Engineer (APWD) and Shri Banbir Das, Assistant Engineer (APWD).

The event was organized by the STS Unit, Car Nicobar, under the supervision of Shri Shekar, Assistant Engineer (Mechanical). These new buses have been introduced as part of the Administration's ongoing efforts to enhance transport infrastructure and provide better commuting options for the residents of Car Nicobar. The initiative aims to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation, catering to the needs of daily commuters, including students, office-goers, and the general public.
