Port Blair, April 21: A missile firing practice will be carried out by Indian Navy on April 26 - 28 from 6 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 4 pm. All concerned have been informed that area has been declared as No fly zone and they have been warned to keep themselves and their vessels / fishing boats away from the firing area during above mentioned date and time.

Port Blair, April 21: Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) coordinated the Voluntary Blood Donation camps which were organized by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Dollygunj yesterday and Unlimited Fitness Club, Garacharma, Port Blair today. A total of 77 units of blood were donated by voluntary donors.   The camp was organized under the guidance of Dr.Subrata Saha, Project Director, A & N AIDS Control Society and Director, State Blood Transfusion Council, A & N Islands. 

Port Blair, April 21: To make students aware of local and endemic species of the islands, INTACH chose to distribute books titled Anmol Dweep to the students. The book has an abundance of information on the endemic species of our islands. A total of 160 students participated in the session.

Port Blair, April 21: An orientation program was organized in DBRAIT- Nodal Institute for EBSB for the 45 selected students from various higher educational institutions of A & N Islands for Yuva Sangam program under ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ (EBSB). The Andaman & Nicobar Islands is paired with Jharkhand for cultural and heritage exchange under the EBSB initiatives.

Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI has deeply mourned the sad demise of Smt. Saraswati, aged 90 years, W/o Late Samund Singh R/o RGT Road, Port Blair, who left for heavenly abode on 20.04.2023 at 1310 hrs. at G.B. Pant Hospital. Shri Jolly prayed to the Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed soul and to give strength to her bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
