Diglipur, Jan 4: Continuing its crackdown on the illicit liquor, Handia, illegal sale of IMFL & illicit Ganja, the District Police of North & Middle Andaman with the help of local informers conducted regular raids and searches in jungles. During the month of December-2022, the teams of various Police Stations, headed by SHOs and Sub-Inspectors conducted raids & massive jungle search operation. In these search operations, around 1400 litres of Lehan & 43 Kg Handia was destroyed and also 173 Nos.

Port Blair, Jan. 4:  To facilitate the commuters in view of the celebration of Vivekananda Mela at Shaheed Dweep, the Directorate of Shipping Services has arranged additional ferry service between Port Blair & Shaheed Dweep from 12th to 19th January 2023. In this connection, additional ferry services may be availed by the intending passengers as per the schedule promulgated. Tickets for the same may be obtained from STARS Ticketing Counters.
