
Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 18: State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Sri Vijaya Puram has completed 35 days junior beauty practitioner (Laghu Udyami) training which was attended by 34 women trainees from various parts of the Islands. The trainees were not only imparted training on various aspects of service in a beauty parlour but also were empowered how to manage a parlour. During the training period, they were also informed about the social security schemes, awareness about cyber frauds, MUDRA loans etc. Field visits were also arranged to the trainees to have first-hand information about how to run a parlour.
While interacting with few trainees who had come from different Islands, Shri Santosh Sahu, Regional Manager, SBI advised them to become financially independent by practicing the skill learned during these 35 days. He also said, the main purpose of such training is to make the women empowered and be part of the nation’s economic growth.
Shri P K Ummer Farooq, Chief Manager, UTLBC and Shri Prathap, AGM, NABARD also addressed the trainees. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks of proposed by Shri C Raj, Director of the Institute.
