5th Edition of Tour of Andaman (ToA) Cycling Event to be Held from Sept 20 – 26

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 11: The Tour of Andaman (ToA) is back with its landmark 5th Edition, scheduled to be held from 20th to 26th September 2025. Since its inception in 2019, the Tour has become a flagship adventure and eco-tourism event of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, bringing together cycling enthusiasts, local communities, and tourism partners in a celebration of endurance, discovery, and environmental responsibility.

Organized by Team Parikrama in association with the A & N Islands Tourism Department, with support from the Hoteliers Association of A & N Islands as the Hospitality Partner and the Transport Corporation of India (TCI) as the Logistics Partner.  The 5th Edition once again highlights the joint efforts to promote the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a world-class destination for eco-tourism and adventure sports. The organizer Team Parikrama is a group of passionate volunteers who regularly conduct tours, treks, cycling events, and adventure activities to encourage the youth to explore the world and discover themselves.

Spanning seven days, the tour will cover more than 315 kilometers, showcasing the diverse landscapes of the islands. The journey will commence with a historic flag-off from Cellular Jail, Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) on 21st September 2025, before moving through Chidiyatapu, Mount Harriet, Shoal Bay, Baratang, Rangat, Diglipur and Ross & Smith Islands.

Approximately 30 cyclists from across India, along with local riders, will take part in this week-long cycling expedition, experiencing the breathtaking natural beauty of the archipelago.

The event is featured on the Utsav Portal, a digital initiative of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, which showcases cultural, sporting and tourism events across the country. Its inclusion on this platform underscores the growing recognition of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a significant hub for sustainable and adventure tourism, placing the archipelago on the national and international tourism map.

The Tour of Andaman has always been more than a cycling event. It represents a commitment to eco-friendly adventure and is proudly organized as a zero-waste initiative. Along with the rides, the Tour promotes awareness activities, plastic-free campaigns and interactions with local communities, ensuring that the message of sustainability reaches far beyond the cycling route.

The 5th Edition of the Tour of Andaman is set to highlight the spirit of endurance, the strength of community and the unspoiled natural beauty that makes the Andaman & Nicobar Islands a premier destination on the global tourism map.
