72nd All India Cooperative Week Concludes with Valedictory Function at A&N State Coop. Union, Teylorabad

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 20: The valedictory function of the 72nd All India Cooperative Week 2025 was held today at the conference hall of the A&N State Cooperative Union at Teylerobad, with great enthusiasm and active participation from cooperative societies, stakeholders and community members across the Islands. The event marked the successful culmination of a week-long series of programs aimed at strengthening the cooperative movement and enhancing community-driven development.

Shri R. Chopra, IAS, Secretary (Cooperation)-cum-RCS, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his key address, he applauded the persistent efforts of the islanders and cooperative institutions in improving the overall standard of living in the region. He highlighted that the cooperative sector has been playing a pivotal role in socio-economic upliftment by promoting self-reliance, entrepreneurship and inclusive growth.

The chief guest informed the participants about the major initiatives taken by the Government of India and the UT Administration in the field of cooperation and further urged all cooperative members and citizens to actively avail the benefits. He called upon everyone to come together with renewed commitment and collective spirit to achieve sustainable development and further strengthen the cooperative movement, assuring the full cooperation and support of the Administration in striving toward these collective goals.

As part of the celebrations, awards were presented to top-performing primary cooperative societies across sectors such as Agriculture, Consumer, Marketing, Livestock, Transport, Fisheries Tourism and Multipurpose. Prizes were also given to students for quiz, essay and painting competitions highlighting active youth involvement in the cooperative week.

Shri Abdul Rasheed, ARCS (HQ), addressed the gathering and shared his insights on the theme of the day, ‘Innovative Cooperative Business Model for Global Competitiveness.’ The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Shri Jiju Kumar, ARCS (A & C).
