Free Multi Speciality Medical Camp Organised at BJR Hospital

Car Nicobar, April 12: To provide specialized healthcare services at the doorsteps of the islanders, a one-day free Multi-Specialty Medical Camp was organized at BJR Hospital, Car Nicobar today. The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) Medical Division and INHS Dhanvantari.

The medical camp aimed to address the health requirements of the local community by providing access to expert consultations that are typically difficult to access in remote locations. The camp brings together a team of specialists to provide consultations and treatment across multiple disciplines. Services available include Gynaecology, Orthopedics, Dentistry, and Ophthalmology (Eye), General Surgery, and General Medicine.

The success of the camp was bolstered by the exceptional dedication of the healthcare and paramedical staff of BJR Hospital. Despite today being a holiday, the staff reported for duty in full strength, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to public service and patient care. Their tireless efforts in managing the large influx of patients and assisting the specialist teams of ANC Medical Division and INHS Dhanvantari ensured the smooth and efficient conduct of the camp.

The local residents turned up in large numbers to avail the services of the specialized facilities. A total of 114 patients were benefitted from the camp. This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of the medical authorities to ensure that distance does not remain a barrier to quality healthcare.

The Medical Superintendent of BJR Hospital expressed gratitude to the ANC Medical Division and INHS Dhanvantari for their unwavering support in making this outreach program a success.
