Sri Vijaya Puram, April 15: The Department of Education, Andaman & Nicobar Administration is all set to organize the VIII State Level League-cum-knockout Football Tournament for U-17 (Boys & Girls) [Pre-Subroto] from 16th to 20th April, 2026, at Netaji Stadium and JNRM Football Ground.
The preliminary round matches will commence on 16.04.2026 from 6 am onwards at Netaji Stadium and JNRM Football Ground. However, the inaugural ceremony of the tournament will be held on 17.04.2026 at 3 PM at Netaji Stadium. Ms. Chanchal Yadav, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, A&N Administration, will grace the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.
The tournament, which serves as a prelude to the prestigious Subroto Cup, will witness participation from various schools across the islands, showcasing young football talent in both boys’ and girls’ categories. This event will promote sportsmanship and help identify promising players for higher-level competitions.
All necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth conduct of the tournament. Spectators and Football enthusiasts are requested to turn out in large numbers to support the young footballers of these Island.
