PS Bambooflat Successfully Trace Missing Minor Girl

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 22: The shift and coordinated action of PS Bambooflat led to successful tracing out of a missing minor girl within 48 hours.

On 17/04/2026, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Bambooflat regarding missing of a minor girl, who had gone missing from her residence at Chuna Bhatta. Accordingly, a case has been registered at PS Bambooflat and investigation of the case was immediately started.

Considering the sensitivity of the case and the vulnerability of the minor, SHO PS Bambooflat immediately constituted three dedicated teams led by SIs under the immediate supervision of SDPO Bambooflat. Each team was assigned specific leads and areas to ensure simultaneous multi-angle investigation, avoiding any delay. Intensive search operations were carried out, including field enquiries, verification of relatives and known contacts and analysis of passenger movement. Further, technical assistance was provided by the Technical Team of SP South Andaman District to support the search operation. On 19/04/2026, the police team successfully recovered the missing minor girl from Nayagaon, Dudline area.

The entire operation was conducted under the leadership of Inspr. S Kannan, SHO PS Bambooflat under the command of Shri. Sunil, SDPO (Bambooflat) and the overall supervision of Smti. Shweta K Sugathan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
