Rangat, April 22: On 21.04.2026, acting on credible information about illicit liquor brewing in a dense forest near Govindapur Village under Nimbudera, a police team of PS Billiground, led by SI Manickam, SHO PS Billiground, conducted an intensive search operation in the suspected area.
During the operation, approximately 450 litres of illicit Lehan (fermented wash), concealed at multiple locations within the forest, was detected and recovered. However, no claimant or suspected person was found at the spot. The entire recovered Lehan and containers were destroyed on the spot as per procedure, highlighting continued police vigilance against illicit liquor activities
