Sri Vijaya Puram, April 30: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association is all set to celebrate Mother’s Day in a unique and meaningful way by organising a special ‘Mom & Me’ Team Chess Event on 10th May 2026 at Sri Vijaya Puram, bringing mothers and children together over the chessboard.
This innovative event aims to promote bonding between mothers and their children through the game of chess. In this distinctive format, each team will consist of a mother paired with her child (son or daughter), and both will play together as a team by making alternate moves on the chessboard.
The tournament will be conducted in a rapid format, ensuring a lively and engaging atmosphere for all participants. The event is designed not only as a competition but also as a celebration of the invaluable role played by mothers in nurturing young minds and supporting their children’s pursuits, including chess.
