Mayabunder, May 3: In a significant step towards promoting women’s safety, empowerment, and personal resilience, Police Station Mayabunder organized a three-day Self-Defense Programme for girl students of MGG College, Mayabunder, from 01.05.2026.
The programme was led by trained Taekwondo martial art personnel of PS Mayabunder and witnessed enthusiastic participation from 136 girl students. Focused on strengthening personal security and confidence, the sessions provided practical self-defense training, enhanced situational awareness, and encouraged preparedness in challenging circumstances, thereby equipping young women with essential life skills for their safety, independence, and overall well-being.
This impactful programme reflects the unwavering commitment of North and Middle Andaman District Police towards women’s empowerment and continue to foster a safer, stronger, and more confident society.
