Mayabunder, May 22: On 21.05.2026, a robbery case was reported at PS Mayabunder by a resident of Swadesh Nagar. The complainant alleged that while returning after visiting Dr. R.P. Hospital, Mayabunder, he was assaulted near Pokadera Beach by two persons, who snatched his mobile phone, extorted cash, and robbed a gold chain.
Based on the complaint, a case was promptly registered at Mayabunder Police Station and immediate investigation and search operations were launched. As the accused persons had absconded, information was circulated to nearby Police Stations. Acting swiftly on the inputs, Diglipur Police Station detained both accused persons on the same day. PS Mayabunder team subsequently proceeded to Diglipur and, after completing codal formalities, arrested both accused on 22.05.2026. All robbed articles were also recovered from their possession.
