PS Pahargaon Solves Blind Kidnapping Case Within 48 Hours

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 22: In continued commitment to ensuring the safety and security of women and children, Andaman & Nicobar Police successfully recovered a missing minor girl within 48 hours upon receipt of the information.

On 19/05/2026, father of the victim girl, a resident of Garacharma lodged a report at PS Pahargaon regarding missing of his younger daughter from home on 18/05/2026. Upon this, a case has been registered at PS Pahargaon and a special team was immediately constituted under the supervision of Inspr. Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO PS Pahargaon comprising SI Manish Narayan, R. Nirmala, HC Jayraj, PCs Santosh and Samsu. 

The investigation initially faced challenges due to the absence of concrete clues. However, through persistent efforts, the team developed leads by analyzing CCTV footage collected from the surrounding areas and conducting criminal profiling of suspects. Further technical analysis and human intelligence inputs led the team to track a suspect in the Bambooflat area. Upon search, the victim girl was safely rescued from Bambooflat area and accused was apprehended from Bambooflat area. Further, the victim was handed over to her parents after completion of legal formalities.

The case was solved under the guidance of Inspr. Sahil Samsuddin, SHO PS Pahargaon under the leadership of Shri Deependra Kumar Singh, DANIPS, SDPO South Andaman and overall supervision of Smti Shweta K Sugathan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.

General public is advised to keep an eye over their children, monitor their social media activity and to report any suspicious/illegal activities immediately to the nearest Police Station or dial 112/03192-232100/03192-250525/03192-236641. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
