Sri Vijaya Puram, May 26: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee organized a public meeting at Hutbay Bazaar during a public outreach visit to Little Andaman. The President of ANTCC, Shri. Rangalal Halder, was accompanied by Zilla Parishad Adhyaksh, South Andaman, Shri PHT Ummer, Zilla Parishad Member Shri A. Ummer, Unorganised Workers & Employees Congress Chairman Shri S.Tejaswara Rao, Youth Congress Vice-President Shri Abhibhusan Ghosh, and other local leaders of Hutbay.
Several villagers, youths, women, senior citizens and Congress workers participated enthusiastically. During the meeting, several important matters concerning the welfare and development of Little Andaman were also discussed.
Shri. Rangalal Halder addressed the gathering and reiterated the commitment of the Congress Party towards safeguarding the interests of the people of the Islands. He emphasized the need for strengthening basic infrastructure, improving transportation and communication facilities, enhancing healthcare and educational services, creating employment opportunities for local youths, and ensuring effective implementation of welfare schemes for all sections of society.
Other leaders also addressed the gathering and encouraged party workers to remain actively connected with the people at the grassroots level. The public meeting concluded with active interaction between the leaders and residents.
