Sri Vijaya Puram, May 26: In a vibrant celebration of literature, creativity and learning, the Summer Book Fest–2026 commenced today at the State Library, Sri Vijaya Puram, with the inauguration of the first phase of the festival followed by a series of engaging competitions and literary activities.
The first phase of the Fest, scheduled from 26th May to 30th May 2026, aims to encourage reading habits, nurture a love for books and literature and provide a common platform for readers and young learners to explore and share their passion for knowledge.
The Summer Book Fest–2026 was formally inaugurated by the Nodal Officer, State Library, Smti Archana Singh, Principal, who lit the traditional lamp, symbolizing the beginning of the literary celebration dedicated to promoting a culture of reading among children and youth.
On the occasion, the Nodal Officer, interacted with the participating students, motivating and encouraging them to actively participate in the diverse range of intellectually stimulating and creatively enriching activities organized during the fest. These included Storytelling, Drawing Competition, Book Treasure Hunt, Book Dumb Charades, Spell Bee Contest, Memory Shelf Challenge, Quiz Competition, and Rhyme Competition, all thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, confidence and a lifelong love for learning.
