Sri Vijaya Puram, May 29: In continuation of strengthening A&N Islands as a global scuba diving destination, a presentation was made before Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency on exploring new dive sites and underwater attractions across the Islands. Discussed development of artificial reefs, shipwreck dives & marine-themed installations at different locations namely North Bay, Swaraj Dweep, Shaheed Dweep, Long Island, Aves Island etc. which will boost sustainable tourism, conserve natural reefs, artificial restoration of corals and position A&N Islands prominently on the global diving map. Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Senior Officers of A&N Administration and representative from local dive industries were also present.
