Sri Vijaya Puram, June 2: The Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC) has informed the general public that water supply in all Municipal areas continues to be regulated in order to ensure equitable distribution of the available water resources among all consumers.
In view of the prevailing situation, SVPMC appeals to all residents to extend their wholehearted cooperation in conserving water and preventing its wastage. Citizens are encouraged to collect and store rainwater wherever feasible and utilize it for non-potable purposes such as cleaning, gardening, and other domestic needs. Such measures will help preserve treated potable water for essential purposes including drinking and cooking.
Residents are also requested to use the municipal water supply judiciously and avoid unnecessary consumption. Every effort made by individual households towards water conservation will collectively contribute to sustaining the available water resources and ensuring uninterrupted supply to the community.
SVPMC is making every possible effort to maintain the water supply system and manage the available resources efficiently. However, the cooperation and active participation of the public remain crucial in achieving effective water management during this period.
SVPMC sincerely urges all citizens to adopt responsible water-use practices, harvest rainwater to the maximum extent possible, and support the collective effort towards water conservation.
