Sri Vijaya Puram, July 7: Poster Making Competition and Essay Writing Competition was conducted by NTPC, State Health Society, Sri Vijaya Puram as part of the World No Tobacco Day 2026. The competitions aimed to promote awareness about the harmful effects of Tobacco and encourage a healthier, tobacco-free future. The themes for the competitions were ‘Unmasking the appeal – countering nicotine and tobacco addiction’ for the Poster Making Competition and Essay writing Competition. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various schools and colleges.
The winners were selected based on their creativity, message clarity, and overall impact. Prize money of Rs. 2,000 for the 1st Prize, Rs. 1,500 for the 2nd Prize, Rs. 1,200 for the 3rd Prize, and two consolation prizes of Rs. 500 each will be awarded to the winners.
