Sri Vijaya Puram, July 23: The Directorate of Art & Culture, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, in its endeavour to nurture theatre among the youth and general public of these Islands, is organizing a month-long theatre workshop, in collaboration with the National School of Drama, New Delhi, from June 25 to July 24. On completion of the workshop, a play involving the participants will be staged at 5.45 PM in the Andaman Club on July 24, 2026.
The theatrical presentation of ‘Duniya Ka Sabse Anmol Ratan’, a story written by the legendary writer Munshi Premchand will be staged tomorrow. The performance will be brought to life by the participants of the monthlong workshop, who will embody Premchand’s vision with authenticity and heartfelt artistry, under the guidance of the Workshop Director from NSD, Shri Surendra Sharma, assisted by Shri Avinash Deshpande. The presentation aims to highlight the cultural richness of Indian theatre while paying tribute to one of its greatest literary figures.
