Sumathi Sudharsan Conferred National CSC Award for the Second Time

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 23: Smt. Sumathi Sudharsan, Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) of Common Service Centre (CSC), Calicut, South Andaman, has been conferred the National CSC Award for the second time in recognition of her exemplary dedication and outstanding contribution to digital service delivery. She was honoured as one of the Top Transacting Village Level Entrepreneurs in the country and received the Award & Certificate of Appreciation on 17th July 2026 during the CSC Diwas celebrations held at Kolkata.

The achievement reflects the commitment of the Common Service Centre ecosystem in the A&N Islands towards strengthening digital governance and ensuring efficient, citizen-centric service delivery at the grassroots level.

A total of 117 Common Service Centres (CSCs) are operational across the A&N Islands, providing citizens with a single-window platform to access Government and other essential services through ICT-enabled service delivery centres within their localities. These CSCs currently deliver 116 Government services of 15 Departments under A&N Administration, enhancing accessibility, efficiency, transparency, and citizen convenience.

The initiative of implementation of CSCs in A&N Islands has significantly reduced the need for physical visits to Government offices while ensuring faster processing of applications, certificates, and utility payments.
