
Sri Vijaya Puram, July 30: The 1 (A&N) Independent Infantry Company NCC organized a lecture and awareness programme on the Government of India’s flagship initiative, Make in India, at JNRM College today. The programme was coordinated by Lt. Dr. Vivek Kumar Sahu, Associate NCC Officer (ANO), JNRM, who also delivered the lecture. NCC cadets participated enthusiastically in the programme along with PI Staff Havildar Deepak and Havildar Maninder Singh Rajak.
Addressing the cadets, Lt. Dr. Sahu highlighted the objectives of the Make in India initiative, which aims to boost manufacturing, promote innovation, generate employment and strengthen India’s position as a global manufacturing hub. He also explained the key sectors covered under the initiative, including automobiles, aviation, biotechnology, defence, renewable energy, textiles and electronics. Cadets were also sensitized to the campaign’s motto, “Zero Defect, Zero Effect,” which promotes quality manufacturing with minimal environmental impact.
