
Digliur, Aug 3: Sustaining its intensified offensive against the drug menace, the N&MA District Police registered yet another success in its ongoing anti-narcotics campaign, resulting in the seizure of approx. 64 grams of suspected ganja and the apprehension of one person under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985.
Based on specific information that a suspect, a resident of Swarajgram, was proceeding to sell illicit ganja, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Mohd. Rafique, I/c PS Diglipur, immediately swung into action. The team intercepted and searched the suspect at Bahadur Tikrey Junction, recovering approximately 64 grams of suspected ganja from his possession. The contraband was seized, the accused was apprehended following due legal procedure, and a case was registered under the NDPS Act, 1985. Further investigation is underway to trace the source of the contraband and identify other persons involved in the illegal narcotics network.
