Diglipur, Aug 4: The Andaman & Nicobar Chemists and Druggists Association (ANCDA) donated three wheelchairs to the District Hospital, Diglipur, North & Middle Andaman District, as part of its continued commitment towards supporting patients and strengthening healthcare facilities in the islands.
The wheelchairs were formally handed over to CMO Dr. Shalini by ANCDA President Shri Vivek Mishra and Treasurer Shri R. Vasanth, along with members of the ANCDA Diglipur team.
Speaking on the occasion, ANCDA Treasurer Shri R. Vasanth said that wheelchairs are a basic but essential facility for elderly patients, persons with mobility difficulties and other needy patients visiting hospitals.
He further informed that more wheelchairs will be distributed at Rangat, Mayabunder, Garacharma and other locations in the coming days, with the objective of assisting patients and improving accessibility to healthcare services.
