Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 9: Hon’ble Vice President, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan today visited Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island. He was accompanied by Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A& N Islands, and Vice Chairman Islands Development Agency and senior officers of A&N Administration during his visit.
Hon’ble Vice President toured the historic places, including the building where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose stayed during his historic visit to the Andaman Islands in December 1943. He also visited the Church, Troops Barrack, Gun Point Area and Smritika Museum, where he was briefed on the Island’s rich history and proposed plans for its future development.
