Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 14: In view of the security arrangements being made for the smooth and secure conduct of the Independence Day Celebrations – 2026, including the programmes at the National Memorial Cellular Jail, Netaji Stadium and Lok Niwas, all invitees and members of the general public attending the functions are hereby advised to strictly adhere to the following instructions:
DO’s
1. Do carry the invitation card/pass issued for the function, wherever applicable.
2. Do reach the venue well in advance to facilitate smooth and expeditious security screening.
3. Do follow all security instructions and directions issued by the Police/Security personnel at the venue.
4. Do extend full cooperation during security checking in the interest of safety and security of all attendees.
DON’Ts
All invitees and general public are strictly advised NOT to carry the following articles to the venue:
1. Flower garlands and bouquets.
2. Gift packets.
3. Power banks.
4. Laptops.
5. Cigarettes/tobacco products.
6. Lighters.
7. Matchboxes.
8. Handbags.
9. Any other article prohibited from the security point of view.
No person shall insist on carrying any of the above-mentioned prohibited articles into the venue. Such articles may be liable to be stopped at the security screening points.
All concerned are requested to strictly comply with the above instructions. Advance compliance will facilitate smooth entry, minimize inconvenience and ensure effective implementation of the prescribed security arrangements.
