Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 24: A special felicitation programme was organized by MUSIC STARS Social & Cultural Society, in collaboration with RBMS MUSIC SCHOOL, at the Maharashtra Mandal Auditorium, Sri Vijaya Puram, to honour talented artists from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for their participation and achievements in an international online talent event.
The programme recognized artists who participated online in the 24 Hours 1 Minute Individual Talent Show – Universe Book of World Record Attempt Marathon, organized by Kalalaya International Dance & Music Trust at Ambika Hotel, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, on 18 July 2026. The event was conducted in both offline and online modes and was live-streamed through the Kalalaya Institute of Dance & Music YouTube Channel.
A total of eight artists from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands participated in the online event. In recognition of their talent, participation and achievement, all eight artists were honoured with Appreciation Certificates, Medals and Photo Frame Mementos. Their participation was also uploaded on the Universe Book of World Record website.
During the felicitation ceremony, the Chief Guest, Senior Chairperson of the Municipal Council, Sri Vijaya Puram, Shri V. Vetri Velu, and the Guest of Honour, Junior Chairperson of the Municipal Council, Sri Vijaya Puram, Shri Rajesh Pal Govind, felicitated the eight participating artists — Aaradhya Sarkar, Aaswita Kumari Singh, D. Ambili Kumari, Lalit Jha, Sanvika Chakraborty, Shubhankar Jha, S. R. Nidhi and B. Ashika — for their outstanding talent and achievement.
The programme also celebrated the achievements of young students of RBMS MUSIC SCHOOL. Two promising talents, Mr. G. Goutham and Mr. Aarav Halder, were honoured with the prestigious “Best Student of Music (Instrumental & Singing)” Award and Certificate for their outstanding performance, dedication and commitment to music.
In another significant recognition, Kalalaya International Dance & Music Trust honoured Mr. P. Murugaiah with the “Best Music Teacher & Composer” Award for his contribution to music, music education and composition, as well as his continued efforts to encourage and nurture young talents.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. P. Murugaiah, Secretary/Organizer of MUSIC STARS Social & Cultural Society and Music Teacher & Composer at RBMS MUSIC SCHOOL, congratulated all the awardees and encouraged the artists and students to continue pursuing their passion for music and the arts. He urged them to come forward with confidence, showcase their talents and work towards bringing greater recognition and glory to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. P. Murugaiah, who expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, Kalalaya International Dance & Music Trust, the honoured artists, students, parents, organizers and all those who extended their valuable support and cooperation towards the successful conduct of the felicitation programme.
The event served as an inspiring platform to recognize artistic talent, encourage young performers and promote the cultural and creative potential of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
