Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 31: The Inter School Knockout Hockey Tournament for boys & girls, organised by the Deputy Education Office, South Andaman, concluded on Aug. 29 which witnessed spirited competition by the students of South Andaman. In the final match played at the Vivekananda Kendra Nagar Palika Vidyalaya Ground, Ranchi Tikrey, SSS Nirmala defeated GMS Dugnabad by 3-0 goals in the boy’s category while in the Girl’s category, GSSS School Line defeated GDMS(S) by 2-0 Goals.
Shri Gyan Sheel Dubey, Deputy Education Officer, South Andaman, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Shri B.C. Gain, Asst. Supervisor, Sports, felicitated the winners and runners-up teams with Certificates and Medals for both the boys’ and girls’ categories.
