Billiground, Sept. 3: On 03.09.2026, acting swiftly on reliable information, the team of OP Badamnallah under PS Billiground conducted a search operation in the dense forest area of Govindapur.
During the search, the team recovered one iron drum containing approx. 200 litres of illicit lehan, suspected to be used for the illegal manufacture of liquor. Following due procedure, the recovered lehan was destroyed on the spot.
The successful operation reflects the continued vigilance, proactive patrolling and firm commitment of North and Middle Andaman Police towards curbing the illegal manufacture of liquor and preventing illegal activities.
The public is urged to share credible information on crime or illegal activities with the nearest Police Station or through 100 & 112. Informers’ identities will remain confidential, and suitable rewards will be provided.
