Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 8: All concerned have been informed that as per the communication received from the Under Secretary to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, CTCR Division, New Delhi, the following 4 (four) MBBS seats has been earmarked from the Central Pool for spouse and children of terrorist victims in the following medical colleges/institutes for nomination for the academic year 2026-27:-
1. A.N. Magadh Medical College – Gaya – Bihar – 01 (one) Seat
2. Grant Medical College – Mumbai Maharashtra – 01 (one) Seat
3. Pt. JNM Medical College – Raipur – Chhattisgarh – 02 (two) Seats
The Ministry further informed that the following order of priority has been prescribed for allocation of aforesaid MBBS seats to the spouse or children of Civilian Victims of Terrorism:
(a) Priority-I: Children whose both parents have been killed by terrorists.
(b) Priority-II: Children of families whose sole bread earners has been killed by terrorists.
(c) Priority-III: Wards of victims with permanent disability and serious injury caused by terrorist operations.
The Eligibility Criteria is as under:
(i) Candidate must either be spouse or children of the deceased/disabled civilian victim of terrorism.
(ii) He/She has complete 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year of the Undergraduate Medical Course and is an Indian National.
(iii) Educational Qualification:
As per Graduate Medical Education Regulation of National Medical Commission, the candidate must have passed in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for Unreserved & Gen-EWS category; 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category. For person with disabilities (PwD) – 45% marks for Unreserved & Gen-EWS category; 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category, taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology at the qualifying examination.
(iv) Qualifying percentile in NEET (UG)- 2026:
As per Graduate Medical Education Regulation of National Medical Commission, it shall be necessary for the candidates to obtain minimum 50th percentile for Unreserved & Gen-EWS category, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC category. For person with disabilities (PwD) – 45th percentile for Unreserved & Gen-EWS category; 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC category. The percentile shall be determined on the basis of highest marks secured in the All India common merit list in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for admission of MBBS/BDS courses.
Accordingly, application in the prescribed format (Annexure-I), in duplicate enclosing all necessary documents are invited from interested/eligible candidates for allocation of said MBBS seats earmarked from the Central Pool for spouse and children of Civilian Victims of Terrorism.
The duly filed-in application enclosing all necessary documents including the documentary evidence of Civilian Victims of Terrorism may be submitted in person to the Development–IV Section, Secretariat, Sri Vijaya Puram on or before 11th September, 2026 upto 3.00 pm positively. Incomplete application summarily be rejected.
No application will be entertained or accepted after the expiry of the stipulated date and time as specified above.
