Youths of the Islands Urged to Actively Participate Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 9: A Press Conference on the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027 was held today at Andaman Mahila Mandal, Sri Vijaya Puram, to brief the media about the programme and to encourage maximum participation of eligible youth from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

VBYLD 2027 is a national initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, aimed at providing young people an opportunity to contribute their ideas, leadership and innovative solutions towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The national-level programme is scheduled to be held in New Delhi from 10 to 12 January 2027. Youth in the age group of 15–29 years are eligible to participate.

During the press conference, the officials explained the participation and selection process, beginning with the Viksit Bharat Quiz, followed by the Essay Challenge, District Championship, State/UT Level and National Level VBYLD. The six major tracks of VBYLD 2027 include Viksit Bharat Challenge Track, Cultural Track, Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause, Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge and Youth Parliament.

The youth of the Islands were encouraged to participate actively in the programme and make use of this opportunity to showcase their ideas, creativity and leadership at various levels. The Viksit Bharat Quiz is the first step towards participation, and eligible youth are encouraged to complete their registration and participation on or before 30th September 2026.

The media representatives were requested to extend adequate publicity through Print, Electronic and Digital Media, disseminate the registration information and Quiz link, and encourage maximum participation of youth across the Islands. The cooperation of the media is expected to play an important role in reaching eligible youth, including students, NSS Volunteers, NCC Cadets, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Youth Clubs and youth organisations.

Shri Deepak Kumar, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat; Ms. Disha Singh, Previous National-Level Participant, VBYLD; Dr. Sunil Saini, Assistant Professor, TGCE; and Shri Gopal Ch. Biswas, APS (OSD) whilenDr. Sunita Patil, Secretary, Andaman Mahila Mandal, extended her valuable support in organising the Press Conference.
