Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 10: The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt of India, has opened registrations for the TribeX Post Graduate Diploma Programmes for the academic year 2026-27. TribeX is the Ministry’s digital learning platform which offers structured courses on India’s tribal knowledge, culture, languages, arts, textiles, museology and sustainable livelihood practices.
UGC-recognised one-year Post Graduate Diploma programmes in 5 streams are open for enrollment. These are Tribal Language: Santali (Ol Chiki), Museology and Tribal Museum Management, Tribal Culture and Arts, Sustainable Tribal Culture-based Livelihood Practices, and Tribal Textiles. In addition, more than 50 free certificate courses are open to all learners.
Applicants for the Post Graduate Diploma programmes must hold a recognised undergraduate degree. The certificate courses are open to everyone. The programmes offer learning from tribal knowledge experts and artisans in a flexible hybrid mode. They include a one-month internship and are affiliated with Sampurnan and Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Varanasi, under the UGC framework. The course fee is Rs 7,500 for each Post Graduate Diploma programme.
Exclusive scholarship support is available for ST students enrolled in these diploma programmes. Students belonging to the Scheduled Tribes of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this benefit.
