
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 23: A weeklong Anti–Drug Programme-2025 is being organized by the Science Wing of the Directorate of Education (DDE(Sc.)) from June 23 to 28, 2025 at State Library, Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram. The event aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of Narcotic Drugs consumption and to promote anti-drug free lifestyle among students, youth and community.
Smti Sindhu Pillai A. IPS, Inspector General of Police, A & N Police was the chief guest on the occasion. The event was also attended by Shri Jitendra Kumar Meena, SP(CID), Shri Naresh Chander Lal, Padma Shri Awardee, Shri Vikram Singh, Director (Edn.), NGO, Hope Foundation, ISMAT, Police Officials, parents, teachers and students.
The chief guest unveiled the logo of Anti–drug “We stand together against Drugs”. The activities of the 1st day of the programme included power point presentations & interaction session by A & N Police on the topic-POCSO, Trafficking Narcotic Drugs & Cyber Crime, which was followed by storytelling, refuse & accepting games and talk on healthy habits/life without drugs by resource persons. Altogether, 160 students participated in this programme
Earlier, the chief guest highlighted and shared views on Anti-Drugs and Narcotics. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Shri Ram Pravesh, Deputy Director Education (Sc.).
