
Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 20: The Physical Measurement & Endurance Test (PM&ET) for recruitment to various posts in the Andaman & Nicobar Police Department is being conducted as per the notified recruitment criteria and the schedule communicated to the candidates.
As of 18.09.2026, the First Phase of Category-I Physical Measurement & Efficiency Test (PM&ET) in South Andaman District has been successfully completed. A total of 4,707 candidates appeared for the test, among them, 1,796 candidates were found qualified after the prescribed document verification and PM&ET.
Similarly, the PM&ET in North & Middle Andaman District has also been successfully completed. A total of 914 candidates appeared for the test, among them, 267 candidates were found qualified, upon completion of the prescribed document verification and PM&ET.
Candidates were assessed uniformly against the physical standards and endurance requirements notified for the recruitment. The PM&ET is being conducted through a standardised and uniform procedure for all candidates. The PM&ET comprised Race, Long Jump and High Hump and physical measurement of Height and Chest (wherever applicable) as prescribed for the respective posts. The entire process was conducted in a fair, transparent, systematic and disciplined manner, in accordance with the prescribed recruitment procedure.
The PM&ET at Car Nicobar is scheduled to be conducted from 21.09.2026 to 23.09.2026, while the PM&ET at Campbell Bay is scheduled from 05.10.2026 to 07.10.2026. The PM&ET at Sri Vijaya Puram will continue till 13.10.2026.
The list of candidates indicating their allotted PM&ET venue, date and reporting time has been uploaded on the official A&N Police website. The PM&ET Admit Cards have already been made available for download w.e.f. 01.08.2026.
Candidates are advised to carefully verify the venue, date and reporting time mentioned in their Admit Card/official communication and make necessary arrangements to report at the designated venue well in time. Candidates should also ensure that they carry all documents and other items prescribed in the instructions issued by the Recruitment Cell.
