Mayabunder, Sept. 25: An Ayushman Arogya Shivir was conducted yesterday at Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM), Mohanpur, under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, with the objective of providing comprehensive health services and strengthening TB screening activities at the community level.
During the Shivir, various health activities were conducted, including TB screening, geriatric health services, NCD screening, and general health check-ups. Dr. Alice Bwa, Medical Officer, DTC, Dr. R.P. Hospital, Mayabunder, spoke on Tuberculosis (TB), its symptoms, prevention, early diagnosis, treatment adherence, and other related health issues.
A total of 105 participants attended the Shivir. As part of the TB screening activity, 82 individuals underwent chest X-ray screening through the Handheld X-Ray Machine, comprising 34 males and 48 females. A Yoga Therapy session was also conducted.
