Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 7: As part of the on-going 72nd Wildlife Week Celebrations, 2026, the Biological Park, Chidiyatapu, in collaboration with Wildlife Trust of India (WTI), INTACH and the Society for Andaman & Nicobar Ecology (SANE), organised a beach cleaning activity at Chidiyatapu.
The initiative brought together college students, volunteers from SANE, volunteers of INTACH, Andaman & Nicobar Chapter, and Forest personnel of Biological Park, who joined hands to clean a long stretch of the Chidiyatapu beach during the morning hours.
The activity highlighted the importance of responsible behaviour, proper waste disposal and collective community action in keeping beaches clean and protecting the Islands sensitive ecosystems.
