Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 8: As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Andaman & Nicobar Command, a solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held at Brichgunj War Memorial today to pay homage to the brave personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.
Vice Admiral Vineet McCarty, AVSM, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman & Nicobar Command (CINCAN), laid a wreath at the memorial in remembrance of the fallen heroes. Veterans and members of the military fraternity also paid their respects and laid wreaths in honour of the bravehearts.
The occasion held special significance for the Andaman & Nicobar Command as it commemorates 25 years of dedicated service, while honouring the contributions and sacrifices of generations of Service personnel who have served in these strategically important islands.
The presence of veterans served as a poignant reminder of the Command’s proud heritage and the continuity of service across generations. Their legacy of courage, commitment and devotion to duty continues to inspire serving personnel.
