Mayabunder, Oct. 16: In a significant initiative towards promoting women’s safety and girl-child empowerment, Police Station Kalighat commenced a month-long Unarmed Combat (UAC) training programme for approximately 50 girl students of Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Kalighat, under the Rani Laxmi Bai Atma Raksha Prashikshan Scheme.
The training covered practical self-defence methods and counterattack techniques to equip the students with essential skills to respond to challenging situations.
