Directs Tourism Department to organize the festival on a grand, attractive & larger scale
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 26: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, A&N Islands, Dr. Dinesh Sharma, today reviewed in detail, the presentation on the proposed edition of the annual Island Tourism Festival, organized by the Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T), at Lok Niwas, Sri Vijaya Puram.
During the review, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor directed the Tourism Department to organize the festival on a grander, more attractive and larger scale than in previous years, with the aim of effectively showcasing and promoting the rich cultural heritage, unique natural beauty and immense tourism potential of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The Chief Secretary, Shri Gyanesh Bharti; Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Tourism); Secretary to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor; Secretary (Information, Publicity & Tourism) and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
