Sri Vijaya Puram, July 9: The A&N Islands Khadi & Village Industries Board in association with the Directorate of Industries will be organizing Skill Development training in the following trades, the details of which are as under:
1) Manufacturing of coconut shell handicrafts: 15 days
2) Manufacturing of handicrafts out of pandanus leaves / coir / coconut shell: 15 days
3) Fast food stall: 2 weeks
4) Beautician course: 1 month
5) Poultry / Dairy farming: 1 month
The contemporary syllabi being followed by the training centres for the said training programme will in turn make the trainees an all-round performer in the field. Therefore, interested prospective entrepreneurs, who intended to opt for self-employment venture as livelihood measure in future may contact the Office of A&N Islands Khadi & Village Industries Board at Udyog Parisar, Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram on any working days during office hours and enroll their names for the training course. The candidates residing outside South Andaman may approach the Extension Office of the Industries Deptt. at their respective areas.
Interested beneficiaries between the age group 18 and 45 years with a minimum educational qualification of VIII std pass wanting to empower self, learn, grow & become an entrepreneur may apply for the above training courses through the application form which can be downloaded from http://andaman.gov.in/Ann_all.
The application forms duly filled along with copies of relevant documents may be submitted directly at the Office of the A&N Islands Khadi & Village Industries Board, Udyog Parisar, Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram or through post on or before 31/07/2025.
