
Sri Vijaya Puram, July 21: The District Administration, South Andaman, conducted Special Revenue Camp Courts at Gram Panchayat Wandoor and Govind Nagar, Swaraj Dweep, to facilitate the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojna and address revenue-related grievances.
Shri Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrat, emphasized the importance of the scheme and directed Revenue Authorities to expedite pending cases to ensure timely benefits for eligible applicants. The Executive Engineer, Electricity Department, highlighted the need for proper documentation for name transfers in electricity connections, which is essential for scheme implementation.
At Wandoor, four mutation cases were approved, aiding in smooth scheme delivery. In Swaraj Dweep, a camp was held at Govind Nagar Panchayat Hall to spread awareness about the rooftop solar initiative. Officials from NRSE and the Electricity Department provided guidance, clarified queries, and assisted with registrations. Informational pamphlets were also distributed.
Additionally, 12 mutation cases were tabled in the Revenue Camp Court at Swaraj Dweep, out of which 8 were disposed of.
These camps reflect the District Administration proactive approach to strengthening service delivery and promoting sustainable energy solutions.
