Sri Vijaya Puram, July 24: The Directorate of IP&T, A&N Administration, is participating in the India International Travel Mart (IITM) being held in Bengaluru from 24th to 26th July, 2025. The event was inaugurated by Shri. Pasang Dorjee Sona, Ministry of Tourism, Education, Rural Works, Parliamentary Affairs and Libraries, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.
IITM is one of India’s leading travel and tourism exhibitions, bringing together tour operators, travel agents and other stakeholders from across the country and abroad. The participation of the Andaman & Nicobar Tourism Department aims to showcase the Islands as a premier eco-friendly and adventure tourism destination.
The Tourism Department is presenting the Islands unique offerings, including pristine beaches, water sports, adventure tourism activities, rich marine biodiversity, heritage sites, and policies such as Bird Watching, Luxury Tent, Caravan and Astro Tourism. Special focus is also being given to promoting lesser-explored destinations and sustainable tourism initiatives.
Officials of IP&T and representatives from Tour Operators and Associations, etc. are attending the exhibition.
The event serves as a crucial platform for engaging with travel trade partners, promoting tourism packages, and attracting both domestic and international tourists. The Department’s participation shows its commitment to positioning the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a world-class tourism destination.
