District Administration Cracks Down on Illegal Stone Crusher Operation in South Andaman

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 25: As part of its ongoing commitment to uphold environmental laws and ensure responsible utilization of natural resources, the District Administration, South Andaman, has taken firm action against the unauthorized operation of a stone crusher unit.

Acting on a complaint received regarding the unauthorized functioning of a stone crusher without valid clearance from the Pollution Control Board, a team of revenue officials conducted a surprise inspection. The stone crusher unit located at Brookshabad village was found to be operating illegally and was immediately sealed as per the orders issued by the Tehsildar, Sri Vijaya Puram.

The District Administration reiterates its zero-tolerance policy towards environmental violations and unlawful activities that pose a threat to ecological balance and public welfare.
