KVIC to Organise Skill Development Training Programs for Unemployed Youths

Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 3: The Khadi and Village Industries Board will be organizing Skill Development Training Programs for unemployed youth with a minimum educational qualification of VIII pass who are enthusiastic about acquiring vocational skills and setting up their own micro or small enterprise. These free skill-based training programs in the following trades will provide hands-on practical exposure, expert guidance & mentoring, opportunity to start your own livelihood venture post training and assistance under relevant schemes for setting up units:

1. Manufacturing of coconut shell handicrafts: 15 days

2. Manufacturing of handicrafts out of pandanus leaves / coir / coconut shell: 15 days

3. Fast food stall: 2 weeks

4. Beautician course: 1 month

5. Poultry / Dairy farming: 1 month

The last date for submission of applications has been extended to August 20, 2025. Application forms can be obtained from Office of Khadi and Village Industries Board at Udyog Parisar Complex, Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram or Extension offices of the Industries Department at Bakultala, Diglipur, Hut Bay, Car Nicobar and can also be downloaded from the website link: http://andaman.gov.in/An. The forms can be submitted in the Board office.
