AH&VS Conducts Two-Day Training Program on Scientific Rearing and Managements of Goats

Rangat, Aug. 3: The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS), A&N Administration conducted a two-day training program on scientific rearing and management of goats on July 30 and 31, 2025, at the Veterinary Hospital, Rangat. The initiative aimed to enhance livestock productivity and support sustainable livelihoods for farmers through improved goat farming practices.

Farmers from the Rangat region actively participated in the program, which included comprehensive sessions on key aspects of goat management. Veterinary experts delivered classes covering the care of kids and does, effective housing techniques, and balanced feeding practices to ensure optimal health and productivity. Participants were also advised on the importance of timely vaccinations to prevent diseases and maintain herd vitality. The training emphasized practical strategies to enhance goat rearing efficiency, enabling farmers to improve their economic returns and contribute to nutritional security through protein-rich products.
