Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 11: ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ (HGT) campaign 2025 is being celebrated from August 2 to 15, 2025, as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The initiative aims to instil spirit of patriotism and national pride among citizens by encouraging every Indian to hoist the National Flag, the Tiranga.
As part of the nationwide celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga 2025, the Directorate of Art & Culture, A&N Administration is organizing a UT Level event titled ‘Tiranga Mahotsav’ in auditorium of Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Sri Vijaya Puram on August 12, 2025 at 9.30 am.
Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd), the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands & Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The event will feature cultural performances & photo exhibition on patriotic theme, and a Tiranga Mela by SHGs under the Rural Development Department.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, aims to encourage every citizen to hoist the National Flag at their homes and workplaces, thereby deepening our emotional connection with the Tricolour and reaffirming our commitment to the ideals it represents. The initiative is a tribute to our freedom fighters and a celebration of our unity in diversity.
People have been requested to be seated by 9 am in the auditorium.
