On the auspicious occasion of the 79th Independence Day of our great nation, I extend my warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to all residents of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
This day marks the culmination of the valiant struggle and supreme sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters who dreamed of a sovereign self-reliant India. As we honour their legacy, let us also reaffirm our collective commitment to uphold the ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity enshrined in our Constitution.
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands occupy a special place in the history of our freedom movement. From the courageous resistance of our indigenous communities to the historic Cellular Jail that stood witness to the suffering and indomitable spirit of our brave patriots, these islands stand as a living testament to India’s enduring resilience.
As we move forward on the path of progress, let us join hands with renewed dedication to build a peaceful, inclusive and prosperous island territory. Let us empower our youth, safeguard our environment, nurture innovation and ensure that the benefits of development reach every corner of our archipelago.
On this Independence Day, let us not only celebrate our hard-won freedom but also reaffirm our shared responsibility to contribute actively towards the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047- a future-ready, developed India rooted in equity, sustainability and opportunity for all.
Jai Hind!
