Puri, Aug 24: Leading representatives of the Andaman tourism industry participated in the 40th Annual Convention of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) held at Puri, Odisha.
Shri Mohd. Jadwet, Chapter Chairman, IATO Andaman Chapter & Director, Makk Logistics, Shri Mohan Vinod, President, AATO & Director, Modern Tours and Travels, and Shri Saikat Biswas, Joint Secretary, AATO & Director, Discover Andaman, Shri T. Moidu, Director, Swaraj Tours and Travels represented the Islands at the prestigious event.
The convention was inaugurated by Hon’ble Union Tourism Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha. The three-day convention, held from 22nd to 25th August, brought together tourism stakeholders from across the country to deliberate on opportunities, challenges, and the roadmap for sustainable growth of India’s tourism sector.
The active participation of Andaman’s stakeholders highlights the Islands’ growing importance in the national tourism landscape and their commitment to contributing to India’s vibrant tourism future.
