BJP State President Approaches DC South Andaman to Re-Open Earmarked Stone Quarries in Little Andaman

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 3: During   his maiden visit to Little Andaman Island last week, Shri. Anil Kumar Tiwari, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party was approached by several organisations and individuals with the demand for opening of Stone Quarries at Little Andaman immediately. They informed the State President that due to non-availability of Stone Quarry Products for the last many months, no developmental works could be carried out in both the government as well as private sector. Despite having funds available with Panchayats and other government agencies, none of the developmental works could be taken up due to non-availability of stone products.

There are earmarked Quarries available in Little Andaman which needs to be allotted to APWD, Panchayats and Private Sector. None of the available quarry is presently functional and due to this there is total halt in execution of construction /developmental works.

Taking a serious view of the genuine demand, the BJP State President wrote a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman and humbly requested him to immediately take steps for opening of all available Quarries in Little Andaman for smooth availability of stone quarry products for execution of all kind of construction works.

Interacting with the State President, BJP the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman assured him that the process for opening of all the quarries at Little Andaman will be completed at the earliest.

Shri. Anil Kumar Tiwari, State President, BJP, has wholeheartedly   thanked the Deputy Commissioner for taking a sensitive stand on the burning issue and for the assurance given for opening of available quarries at Little Andaman at the earliest.
