Rotary Club Next Gen Port Blair Extends Support to Differently-Abled Child in Hutbay

Hutbay, Sept. 7: In a compassionate gesture that reflects its continued commitment to community service, the Rotary Club Next Gen Port Blair had the privilege of extending a helping hand to a young soul in need. A wheelchair was handed over to Miss Monika Minj, a 6-year-old differently-abled child from Hutbay, who is currently under the care of her grandparents.

This initiative was taken up following a heartfelt request from the Ranchi Association of Islands, who brought Miss Monika’s situation to the Club’s attention. Moved by the appeal, the Club promptly took action to provide the necessary support and improve her quality of life.

The wheelchair was formally handed over at the office of Club President Shri Mandeep Grewal, in the presence of the Club Secretary Shri M.Vignesh. The small ceremony marked a moment of hope and solidarity, reinforcing the Club’s mission to uplift those in need across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rotary Club Next Gen Port Blair remains steadfast in its dedication to service above self, continuing to carry out initiatives that bring dignity, accessibility, and care to the underserved sections of society.
